Introducing Below Market

They say “Raw is Law”…

…so we invite you to slide inside C&J's first stripped-down, basement-only bacchanal where leather shines in the soft glow of neon light deep deep down Below Market.

PUMP’n’THUMP

Saturday - 23 May 2026 • 10pm-late • Club Six, SF

Neon. Leather. Sweat & Bass

Step into the space below Club 6 for a late-night collision of industrial heat, underground energy and hot, super-charged chaos on the dance floor.

PUMP'n'THUMP will transform the basement into a glowing neon playground drenched in strobes & leather, dripping dark house & techno laced with latenight vibes. Expect pounding basslines, hypnotic visuals, a packed dance floor and the kind of night where time gets away from you in the space between the fog machine and the speaker stack.

Whether you’re coming dressed in black leather, cyberpunk neon, harnesses or mesh, chrome or latex, streetwear or fully bare, be ready to move as you descend into the deep and tap into the throbbing pulse of the City.

It’s a Night IN.

In community.

In the City.

In a safe space where you’re free to express yourself.

It’s not a night out…

PUMP’n’THUMP Lineup:

  • With an affinity for Progressive House, Minimal / Deep Tech and Melodic Techno. Fawks cultivates inclusive spaces for the queer underground to thrive and express themselves through music and Kink.

  • Brooklyn-born and Oakland-based, John Major is a lifelong dancer and open-format DJ with over 20 years of experience. His eclectic sound seamlessly blends the underground currents of his early years with the vibrant energy of the San Francisco Bay Area's queer scene. As a co-founder of several legendary collectives, John strives to create boundary-pushing experiences both on and off the dancefloor.

Major finds joy not only as a performing DJ but also as an architect of experiences, having spent 30 years producing some of the most unusual, avant-garde underground events across the country. With equal footing in event production and performance, he delights in taking risks and strives to unlock that special magic that happens on dancefloors when it all ‘works.’ Whether playing to intimate gatherings or festival crowds, Major moves bodies and minds with precision, intent, and just the right amount of chaos.

  • Chromophore translates literally as a "lover of light", but are also essential for separation - likes bond with other likes...a philosophy Chromophore channels on the dancefloor. As an 80s kid, Chromophore was inspired by acid sounds and glitchey soundtracks. He pulls influences from across the techno, progressive, dark disco, and house scenes to create environments that evolve with the set.

Chromophore is a resident at FYWN, a monthly event at Driftwood focused on community building across cliques through dance and musical expression. Outside of the residency, Chromophore plays many underground and campout parties across northern California, and has appeared nationwide in many bars and clubs.
